What are values? Values are important, long-term beliefs or ideals that we share as a community or as a culture, which helps us determine what is ”right and wrong” and “desirable or undesirable”. At Little Worlds Learning Center we will teach the children, as God has taught us, through His Word as presented in the Bible.
Why are values important?
Values are very important because they influence how we act, help shape our attitude, and guide us in how we are to behave in all situations.

Values demonstrate the kind of person that we are in life. From a socio-educational perspective, values orient us and guide human behaviour towards social reform and personal growth. With modern technology and social media, it has become increasingly easy for children to gain access to violent and immoral content. The world is becoming increasingly liberal and our children may find themselves in challenging moral situations. For this reason, it is important to teach children how to tell right from wrong so they can safely navigate through today’s world.
When should values be taught?
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Prov. 22:6 King James Version). Children should be taught values as early as possible. Children learn quickly so early childhood is the perfect time to provide them the tools required to make good choices throughout the rest of their lives. This will enable them to become confident, happy, productive and respectable, members of society. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” -Nelson Mandela
